Milwaukee, Wisc. – vcpi, a nationwide provider of outsourced IT services in senior living communities, proudly announces that Zak Koch is our new president, effective June 1, 2019. Zak had previously been VP of Client Services.
Karen Christianson, previous president, who will now serve as CEO says, “Zak is the perfect leader for this moment in vcpi’s history. We are scaling up and we will need his special genius for operationalizing our complex services to delight our customers.”
In addition to his high-level technical expertise, Zak is known for being a great listener with a nurturing demeanor, which meshes well with colleagues and clients.
Zak started his career at vcpi as a Service Desk Analyst, and he grew along with the company into higher level leadership roles. Through his tenure, he has thrived in providing clients with the right IT services at the right time.
“From a service desk agent with an upset caller, to a fellow executive with a large technical project, sales prospect, internal process or other initiative, my purpose is to make certain they all have the support needed to ensure seniors’ lives are enriched and protected,” Zak said.
As VP of Client Services, Zak led about 90 IT service and support professionals. He has operationalized our IT networking, systems, IMS, and DevOps services to ensure clients know what services they receive as well as their costs. He has also identified Key Performance Indicators for each of the above services needed to better serve clients.
Zak has almost two decades of IT networking experience. He started in the Marine Corps (2001-2005), which he calls “the express route to understanding leadership and caring for people.” He joined vcpi in 2006 upon completing his Bachelor of Information Systems Management, and recently enrolled in a Master’s degree program at the Wisconsin School of Business (UW-Madison).
Ever action-minded, his first 90 days at the helm will include major road trips to our client base to listen and evangelize the vcpi vision for the future state of technology in the senior living space.
As CEO, Karen will continue to leverage her infectious, all-in, positive nature to grow the ranks of partners offering the most benefit to seniors. She will concentrate on carefully managing the growth over the coming three to five years.
Karen originally served as a dual CEO and president of vcpi as of 2017, when she helped to remold the company culture.
